28 September 2011. From Dagupan to Alabang, to go or not to go? The decision was made and we brave the foul weather. It is 9:20AM as we rode the bus to Cubao. Typhoon Pedring had just leaft the Philippines after unleashing doses of rain and wind. But when we arrived at 2:30PM, the Manila weather greeted us with a clear grey sky and some rain showers. After leaving our bags at the house, we went to Ongpin to try and get a Chinese Visa. After some discussions with the travel agency regarding the application for a Chinese visa, we were advised that it is too late to get one. Chinese Embassy is celebrating their National Day and had declared non working holiday most days next week. No luck with the visa. We will try and get the visa in Hong Kong instead. After a taxi, jeepney, and another taxi ride we arrived at Nylah's house by 7PM to pick up Chloe and meet Marie, Junjun, and Kenzo at the Ayala Town Center. Chloe then picked up a Havaiianas and by 8:00PM we were eating Shabu shabu. After dropping off Chloe we were off catching the bus to Quezon City. Exhaustion made us sleep in the bus and we had a very good nap. We arrived at the house at 11:30-ish. Total time 15 hours. But it was well worth it.
You will do everything for family.
The next day, Family dinner hosted by Pana Chan.
We thank everyone for spending time with us over a succulent dinner. It was good seeing you all. And thanks to Marie who took the time to travel from Alabang to Timog to join us.
Enjoy the photos.
